Baptism

The sacrament of baptism is a rich tradition that is full of meaning. Baptism marks one’s entry into the church of Jesus Christ, and it is a day to be celebrated, whether one is an infant, child, adolescent, or an adult. When a child is baptized, we recognize the parents’ vows to bring the child up in the life of faith. When an adolescent or an adult is baptized, we recognize his or her own vows of faithfulness to God. In addition, we always recognize the vows of the congregation to offer love, care, and support. Baptism always reminds us that the church is called by God to nurture the spirit of faith in all people. To inquire about a baptism, please contact Rev. Daniel Doty or Administrative Coordinator Cathy Cotter in the church office, 330-633-4931 or tallmadgefcc@sbcglobal.net.
