HIGH SCHOOL FELLOWSHIP
High School Fellowship is for all students in grades 9 – 12. Whether we’re going places or staying at church, our goal is to have a great time together, affirm each person, and grow in our faith. Meeting times vary during the month. For current events, refer to the latest Herald newsletter.
MIDDLE SCHOOL FELLOWSHIP AND YOUTH RINGERS
Middle School Fellowship is for those in grades 6 – 8, and meets each Sunday afternoon. This fellowship, led by Wendy Brown, combines crazy games, group bonding, and discussions of faith; it is a safe and fulfilling time each week to let down and renew.
Youth Ringers meet 7:00-7:45 PM in the sanctuary with Denise Daniels.
For current events, refer to the latest Herald newsletter.
In Confirmation I, 8th grade students will explore the Christian faith, including an overview of the Bible. At the end of the year, students may confirm their faith in God known to us in Jesus Christ.
Confirmation II, for 9th graders, is a year to learn about church membership and discipleship. After learning about our identity as the First Congregational Church of Tallmadge and the United Church of Christ, including the annual trip to Boston to explore our Congregationalist roots, students may become members of the church.
YOUTH MISSION TOUR
An annual week-long trip in the summer for high school students, sometimes in partnership with college students and adults. The location changes each year. In past years, we have served in inner-city Chicago, repaired homes in rural Kentucky, and built new housing in Birmingham for disaster relief.
