Joining Together in Spirit for Sunday Worship

We join together today and in the days ahead in abundance of God Spirit and Love. Although we can not be together in the physical means to worship, we are together more than ever. May we lift each other up in love and prayer no matter where your sanctuary may be today.

Brothers and Sisters of First Congregational Church,

We join together today and in the days ahead in abundance of God Spirit and Love. Although we can not be together in the physical means to worship, we are together more than ever. May we lift each other up in love and prayer no matter where your sanctuary may be today.

Until we can meet in person again, we hope that the visual messages are helpful during this difficult time for our nation and throughout the world. Our hope is to expand this ability each week.

During this time of change and uncertainty, our missions and ministries continue to be of vital importance and need your support more than ever. The church leadership and staff ask that we all prayerfully continue in that support of the church.

Faith offerings may continue to be mailed to the church as well as information on the church’s website to allow easy enrollment in automatic bank offerings if you so choose.

May you find peace and safety in God’s gracious and loving hands.

“I lift up my eyes to the hills—from where will my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made the heaven and earth..The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going out and coming in from this Time and forevermore.” —Psalm 121:1-2

Prayers and Love,

    1. Good Morning,
Something told me to look at our church website this morning. I immediately saw the LENT site and clicked on it. All of a sudden I heard Nancy’s beautiful playing which brought tears to my eyes and joy to my heart. Then, there was Pastor Dave with one of his special messages that definitely “raised me up” on this Sunday morning. How wonderful and uplifting this was to hear during these very scary times!
THANK YOU for all you do and are doing these difficult dsys!

      Blessings to all,

    1. Dave, Thanks so much for sharing your uplifting response to our video on-line worship services.
Everyone on staff – Cathy, Wendy, Nancy, Rachel, Bill, and our tech “pros” Tim and Anne are
contributing to this and many other expressions of reaching out to people. We all pray to a sooner
than later resolve to be able to connect with one another in person! God bless all churches in our
mutually shared outreach of the gospel to people in communities across our nation and around the
      world.

So wonderful of you to be at the Easter service and to see you this past
Sunday, May 3, for our version of “parking lot worship with Jesus.”
So many dedicated servants at our church have given their gracious
time and talents to make this happen, and your support and gracious words
resonate with us all, and we know that God gets the glory, for we are servants
of the church in God’s name. Stay safe, faithful, and hopeful. Pastor Dave

I miss our fellowship together and worshiping with the congregation that I have known and cared about for so long. I look forward to the day when this virus is under control and we all can be together again. In the meantime, I do especially enjoy the messages and encouragement you have given us through the media. To all, remain faithful and healthy until we meet again.

  13. Kitty,

We miss you, too, and our members and friends who have been so faithful to God
and to FCC over the years. These are challenging and difficult times, to be sure,
but we have all discovered God in the midst of the storm and God’s encouragement
and presence, just like in holy communion, is constant in faithfulness, love, and hope.
Be well, and remain steadfast in your faith! Pastor Dave
